Growing up in California, my family was always looking for fun road trips to go on together. One summer, we went on a family trip to Las Vegas to see the Strip, Hoover Dam, and the Grand Canyon.
Visiting Las Vegas was by far one of my favorite memories as a kid! I remember having a blast playing games at Circus Circus and seeing the volcano show at the Mirage.
No matter your age, there’s something for everyone in Las Vegas. Whether you want to have fun on the water slides at Circus Circus or get up close with sharks at Mandalay Bay or take a ride on the world’s tallest observation wheel, you’ll never run out of fun things to do in Las Vegas with kids.

The Mirage has a great location near the center of the Las Vegas Strip. This tropical themed resort provides endless ways to keep the kids entertained, making it one of the best kid-friendly hotels in Las Vegas. This hotel also offers an excellent family suite.
For example, the spectacular Mirage Volcano is a sight not to be missed. It combines fire with music and choreography. I remember loving the volcano when I was a kid and I still enjoy it now as an adult.
The pool at the Mirage is great for families. It’s cascading waterfalls and palm trees make you feel like you’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas and can have fun at a beautiful tropical oasis.
After spending the afternoon at the pool, enjoy a delicious dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. This is great family-friendly restaurant located at the Mirage.
While the Mirage doesn’t have a shopping mall inside, it’s right next door to the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace and across the street from the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Hotel.
As you can see, the Mirage provides a great location and you’re never far from lots of family-friendly entertainment.

The Mandalay pool has been voted by TripAdvisor as one of the best pools in the USA. This aquatic playground features over 2,700 tons of real sand and a 1.6 million gallon wave pool. This is one of the best pools for kids in Las Vegas.

I remember loving this hotel when I was younger because there are so many great activities here for the whole family.
For example, the Big Apple Coaster & Arcade is a big hit with families. Whether you choose to ride it the traditional way or opt for a thrilling virtual reality experience, this roller coaster is the first of its kind in Las Vegas. You must be at least 54” to ride it.
After checking out the coaster and arcade, families will have fun splashing around New York-New York’s large pool. Grab a bite at Shake Shack where you can enjoy yummy burgers, crinkle cut fries, and thick milkshakes. Or in the evening, you can listen to live music at the Nine Fine Irishmen, located on the hotel property.

Located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, this hotel provides ideal access to shopping, dining, and kid-friendly entertainment. Surrounded by palm trees, the two hotel pools are great for families to enjoy a fun day in the sun. Or you can shoot some hoops in the basketball court, play a round of table tennis or show off your skills on the pool table.

The Luxor Hotel is an Egyptian themed 30-story hotel and is located on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. Kids will love the Luxor Sky Beam, which is the strongest beam of light in the world. The Luxor is next door to Excalibur Hotel and Mandalay Bay, so there are plenty of ways to keep the whole family entertained.
The pool deck at the Luxor is one of the largest in Las Vegas, with 125,650 square-feet of space. Here guests can enjoy access to four large pools and whirlpools, totaling 19,000 square feet.
The Luxor food court has good options for kids, including delicious burgers and milkshakes at Johnny Rockets. For families who want to do a little shopping, head next door to the Shoppes at Mandalay Place.

While the shops at the Bellagio are on the high-end of the scale, you can find lots of kid-friendly stores next door at Caesar’s Palace or across the street at the Miracle Mile Shops.
The hotel offers guests to relax in five distinctive pool courtyard settings as you soak up the sun in this outdoor oasis. Children must be 14 years of age or accompanied by a parent or guardian of at least 18 years.

It’s not the fanciest hotel accommodations, but it provides plenty of great kid-friendly activities. This can be a good option if you’re visiting Las Vegas with a toddler.
If you’re looking for nicer accommodations, I recommend staying next door at the Hilton Grand Vacations. Then you can have fun at Circus Circus during the day.
Some of the best things to do at Circus Circus include hanging out at their Splash Zone pool, watching free circus acts, playing fun games at the Midway, and riding roller coasters. Seriously, this hotel was designed to entertain kids of all ages.

Adventuredome – The Adventuredome features a variety of fun rides for all ages including family rides, junior rides, rollercoasters, and more! A monorail stop is just 2-minutes away, which makes it convenient to get around the Strip. Families will love the guests-only pool and spa tub at the Hilton. You’ll also get complimentary access the family-friendly Beach Club Pool next door at the Flamingo Resort.
