Visiting Las Vegas was by far one of my favorite memories as a kid! I remember having a blast playing games at Circus Circus and seeing the volcano show at the Mirage.

1. The Mirage Hotel & Casino
The Mirage has a great location near the center of the Las Vegas Strip. This tropical themed resort provides endless ways to keep the kids entertained, making it one of the best kid-friendly hotels in Las Vegas.
For example, the spectacular Mirage Volcano is a sight not to be missed. It combines fire with music and choreography. I remember loving the volcano when I was a kid and I still enjoy it now as an adult.
The pool at the Mirage is great for families. It’s cascading waterfalls and palm trees make you feel like you’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas and can have fun at a beautiful tropical oasis. After spending the afternoon at the pool, enjoy a delicious dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. This is great family-friendly restaurant located at the Mirage.
While the Mirage doesn’t have a shopping mall inside, it’s right next door to the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace and across the street from the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Hotel. As you can see, the Mirage provides a great location and you’re never far from lots of family-friendly entertainment.

2. Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino
The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is a large luxury hotel located at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. This is one of the best family resorts in Las Vegas and there’s plenty of activities for kids to enjoy.
For example, the Shark Reef Aquarium is a must-see for children and adults alike. Here you can get up close with over 2,000 animals, including sharks, piranha, giant rays, and even a Komodo dragon.
The Mandalay pool has been voted by TripAdvisor as one of the best pools in the USA. This aquatic playground features over 2,700 tons of real sand and a 1.6 million gallon wave pool. This is a great spot for families to relax, have fun, and enjoy the Las Vegas sun.
If your family enjoys shopping, you’ll love the Shoppes at Mandalay Place. Here you can find one-of-a-kind shops and lots of great restaurants, including tasty pub fare and delicious Mexican inspired eats.

The MGM Grand is one of the largest hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and has quickly become a favorite with families. It’s located near the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, however it’s close to the Mandalay Bay and New York-New York Hotel, so you’ll never run out of fun things to do.
One of the highlights of this property is the pool. It’s by far one the best and largest hotel pools on the Las Vegas Strip. Grab a tube and float down its famous Lazy River or kick back on a comfy daybed.
Grand Pool Complex – Enjoy 6.5 acres of pool fun here at the MGM Grand. Here you’ll get access to four swimming pools, three whirlpools, beautiful waterfalls and daybeds to relax. 4. New York-New York Hotel & Casino
The New York-New York Hotel is one of the most popular kid-friendly properties in Las Vegas. It’s smaller than other hotels on this list, but its size makes it more manageable for groups. I remember loving this hotel when I was younger because there are so many great activities here for the whole family.
For example, the Big Apple Coaster & Arcade is a big hit with families. Whether you choose to ride it the traditional way or opt for a thrilling virtual reality experience, this roller coaster is the first of its kind in Las Vegas. You must be at least 54” to ride it.
After checking out the coaster and arcade, families will have fun splashing around New York-New York’s large pool. Grab a bite at Shake Shack where you can enjoy yummy burgers, crinkle cut fries, and thick milkshakes. Or in the evening, you can listen to live music at the Nine Fine Irishmen, located on the hotel property.
The Big Apple Coaster & Arcade – If you’re a thrill seeker, I highly recommend going for a ride on this roller coaster. It reaches speeds of up to 67 miles per hour and has drops of 144 feet. You can learn more here.

For fantasy lovers, the medieval castle themed Excalibur Hotel can be a great budget option. This hotel was built with kids in mind, which makes it a good option for families.

The Excalibur Hotel also has a few shops inside, including a medieval themed store, a children’s clothing store, and a candy shop that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

Located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, this hotel provides ideal access to shopping, dining, and kid-friendly entertainment. Surrounded by palm trees, the two hotel pools are great for families to enjoy a fun day in the sun. Or you can shoot some hoops in the basketball court, play a round of table tennis or show off your skills on the pool table.
This hotel offers 2 pools and 3 whirlpool spas. Kids will also love playing basketball, tennis, table tennis, and more.

While there are no shows at the Hilton Grand Vacations, you can watch free circus acts next door at Circus Circus.

This Egyptian themed 30-story hotel is located on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. Kids will love the Luxor Sky Beam, which is the strongest beam of light in the world. The Luxor is next door to Excalibur Hotel and Mandalay Bay, so there are plenty of ways to keep the whole family entertained.
The pool deck at the Luxor is one of the largest in Las Vegas, with 125,650 square-feet of space. Here guests can enjoy access to four large pools and whirlpools, totaling 19,000 square feet.
The Luxor food court has good options for kids, including delicious burgers and milkshakes at Johnny Rockets. For families who want to do a little shopping, head next door to the Shoppes at Mandalay Place.
Pools & Cabanas – As I mentioned above, the pool at the Luxor is large and there’s lots of room for families to have a fun day in the sun. For more kid-friendly entertainment, head to the Shark Reef Aquarium next door at the Mandalay Place.

The Bellagio Hotel & Casino is the most luxurious option on this list. It’s great for families who want to feel like a VIP and experience the elegance that the Bellagio has to offer.
While the shops at the Bellagio are on the high-end of the scale, you can find lots of kid-friendly stores next door at Caesar’s Palace or across the street at the Miracle Mile Shops.
The hotel offers guests to relax in five distinctive pool courtyard settings as you soak up the sun in this outdoor oasis. Children must be 14 years of age or accompanied by a parent or guardian of at least 18 years.
Fountains of Bellagio – This free activity is a must-see while you’re in Las Vegas. Kids love watching the water and light dance to different music. Each performance is unique and there’s always something new to watch. You can learn more here.
Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden – This 14,000-square-foot floral playground showcases some of the most incredible displays. I always visit the Botanical Garden because there’s new things to see as the seasons change. For example, for Chinese New Year, they put on a beautiful display to celebrate the Year of the Pig. “O” by Cirque du Soleil – This show is spectacular and it’s a great choice for all ages. The theatre that houses “O” looks you’ve walked into a 14th century European Opera House. Its centerpiece is an incredible 1.5 million gallon pool which seemly appears and disappears within seconds. Enjoy watching acrobatics, synchronized swimmers and high divers at this fun performance. Circus Circus is located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip and one of the most popular hotels for kids. My family stayed at Circus Circus when we first went to Las Vegas and had a lot of fun. It’s not the fanciest hotel accommodations, but it provides plenty of great kid-friendly activities.
If you’re looking for nicer accommodations, I recommend staying next door at the Hilton Grand Vacations. Then you can have fun at Circus Circus during the day.
Some of the best things to do at Circus Circus include hanging out at their Splash Zone pool, watching free circus acts, playing fun games at the Midway, and riding roller coasters. Seriously, this hotel was designed to entertain kids of all ages.
Splash Zone – Kids can enjoy over an acre of fun at Circus Circus Las Vegas Splash Zone. Get access to swimming pools, whirlpools, and a water playground. Or dare to ride down the 50 ft slide tower!
Midway – Play games and win prizes at Circus Circus’ famous Carnival Midway. Kids also enjoy checking out their collection of over 200 popular arcade games.
Adventuredome – The Adventuredome features a variety of fun rides for all ages including family rides, junior rides, rollercoasters, and more! I recommend checking it out after dark on Friday and Saturday when the Adventuredome turns on glowing neon lights. Plus, you can enjoy their new Neon Disco Roller Skating Rink. Beach Club Pool – When you stay at the Hilton, you’ll get access to the Hilton pool and the pools next door at the Flamingo Resort. The Beach Club Pool at the Flamingo is great for families. Kids will love having fun on the water slides here.
High Roller – Next door at the Linq Hotel & Casino, you can ride the world’s tallest observation wheel. Soar 550 feet above the center of the Las Vegas Strip on the High Roller!
